North Shore Park on 900-acre Lake Bastrop has features to appeal to campers, anglers and nature lovers. The Lake Bastrop contains bass, crappie, perch and catfish. Anglers can drop a line from the park's fishing pier or head out on a boat from the park's ramp. Sailing, skiing and canoeing are other popular activities on Lake Bastrop. South Shore Park now offers on-site canoe rentals. On shore, park guests can enjoy the shaded day use and swim areas for picnics, an expanded hiking and biking trail, tetherball court, and a hall with AC/heat perfect for family reunion and other group events. A boat ramp with a boat dock and fishing pier provide fishing and access for water-based recreation. There are also picnic areas that include tables, grills, a sand volleyball court, tetherball courts and a play area. Rest rooms and showers are available for park visitors. Near the day use and swim areas the North Cove Group Area provides a partially shaded site for groups of up to 50. This group area includes a large grill, picnic tables, and a large serving table. Features Campsites North Shore has available: 6 sites are available with 30/50 amp with full hookups. 10 sites are available with 30/50 amp electric and water hookups. From Houston/.Katy Merge onto I-10W, take exit 695 to merge onto TX-71/Feeder toward LaGrange/Austin. Continue on TX-71 approximately 55 miles. Turn left onto TX 21W, turn right onto TX-95 N, turn right onto FM 1441 E. The park entrance will be on your right. From Dallas Take I-35 South approx 65 miles to exit 304 toward TX -363 Loop/ H K Dodgen Loop (around the outskirts of Temple). Merge onto N I-35 Frontage, turn left onto NW H K Dodgen Loop. Continue on TX-109 S/Taylor Rd, veer right onto Harris St, turn left onto US-290 E, and then right onto TX-95 S. Continue approximately 12 miles to FM 1441 E. Park entrance will be approximately 3 miles on your right. From Austin Take TX-71 East through Bastrop. Turn left onto TX-21/TX-95N (at the Buccees) Turn right onto FM 1441 E. Entrance fees are charged in addition to your site fees and are collected upon arrival at the park. The entrance fees are $5 for adults (13 years and older) per person per day, children 12 years or younger are free, Texas senior residents (65 years and older) are $2 per person per day, military who are permanent disabled are $2 per person per day, disabled individuals are $2 per person per day. For detailed list of fees click here. If arriving after 4:00 PM please contact park staff at 512-498-1922 in advance. Pets are restricted to designated pet friendly mini-cabins only. Pets are welcome in the park but must remain on leash or contained in a fenced structure. Smoking is strictly prohibited in any building includingcabins. Quiet Hours are between 10PM and 6AM. No excessive noise, running generators, or amplified music is permitted during quiet hours. No glass containers are permitted. Check-in for all sites is 3pm and check out in noon. Group Events are permitted at the park. Prior written shall be obtained from LCRA for any organized group activivity on LCRA land involving 20 or more individuals. For additional information please contact park staff at 512-498-1922. Park may fall under a Burn Ban without notice. Please go to www.lcra.org/parks for up to date status of burn bans at LCRA parks. Dump Station is available LCRA Cancellation Policy: Campsites: Reservations cancelled within 2 days (48 hours) of the arrival date will forfeit one night site fee plus any applicable transaction fees. No refund if reservations are cancelled less than 2 days (48 hours) prior to the scheduled arrival date. Cabins: Reservations cancelled within 2 days (48 hours) of the arrival date will forfeit one night site fee plus any applicable transaction fees. No refund if reservations are cancelled less than 2 days (48 hours) prior to the scheduled arrival date. Pavilions: Before 15 days of arrival date: - Customer receives a full refund minus applicable transaction fees. 14 days or less of arrival date: - No refund. Group Hall: Cancellations must be made 30 days prior to the arrival date to receive a full refund minus any applicable transaction fees. Cancellations between 29 and 4 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit one night site fee plus any applicable transaction fees. Cancellations made 3 or less days prior to the arrival date will not receive any refund. Notification: For an emergency cancellation within 14 days of arrival contact LCRA park staff. LCRA Transaction Fees: For all reservations made on the web there will be a Reservation Fee of $6.00 per Transaction.
